BLMA's Cell Tower  11/06

We made this BLMA Cell Tower in 30 minutes.

Materials Required:
Kit, Hobby Knife, Magnifier & 'Crazy Glue'

This was our second etched metal kit, we are not that experienced with them.

This kit comes ready to assemble and was MUCH EASIER to build
than we thought it would be.

Carefully remove the etched parts from it's sprue.
We start with the first five parts which are the top & bottom triangular pieces
and the 3 flat sides that sit between them.

We took the bottom piece (the one with the grating & access hole for a climber)
Then we placed a drop of 'cyanoacrylate' in each of the TWO pin holes
for the vertical piece, and held in place a few seconds. We repeated this for the other two sides.

The next step is a bit tricky, so be patient. Place the top triangular piece on top of the assembly and gently coax it onto the pins that stick up (there are two on each corner)
and apply glue to the little points that stick up.

To install the metal transponders, place a drop of glue in each of the two holes and insert the transponder, this kit has 6 of them.

We sprayed the pole with flat black paint and inserted the pole into the assembly.

For our last step we glued the top pole hatch in place.

We did not add some of the other details that come in the kit,
this was enough for us right now.
